The Nd: YAG Laser Trabeculoplasty is easier on the eye than ALT surgery and can be repeated a number of times, while ALT surgery can only be performed twice.

Laser Trabeculoplasty for Glaucoma is generally only performed on one eye at a time due to the loss of vision immediately after the procedure.
